Tyre management software for truck fleets
Tyres are one of a fleet's biggest running costs and one of the easiest to lose track of. Grillo Fleet Management Software tracks every tyre by number, from the day it's bought until it's scrapped.
Every tyre on the vehicle's own axle diagram
Each horse and trailer has its axle layout, from a single steer axle to tri-axle duals. Fit a tyre to a position, move it to another position or vehicle, or pull it, and its full fitment history goes with it, with the odometer reading at every change.
Tread depth from a phone in the yard
Tread is recorded inner, centre and outer on a screen built for a walk-around on a phone. Tyres at or below your minimum tread depth are flagged, and the wear rate between readings projects which tyres will reach the minimum within the next few thousand kilometres.
Worn tyres don't go out on a load
A trip can't be opened for a horse or trailer with a fitted tyre whose latest reading is below the despatch minimum, 6 mm unless you set another figure. The trip screen lists each tyre and its position, and the load can only be captured once the tyre database is updated with a new reading or the tyre is replaced. Changing the minimum needs a reason and goes on the exception report.
Every tyre in one place, and a survey to prove it
Every tyre is in stores, fitted, scrapped or missing. New tyres are received into stores under your own number series, spare wheels are tracked like any other position, and a driver tyre check sheet can be printed when a trip is opened.
A Tyre Survey checks each position on a vehicle against the record. Swaps and moves are corrected, and a tyre that isn't where it should be goes on a Missing Tyres list with its cost. Only the administrator can write a missing tyre off, with a typed reason that goes on the exception report.
Reports that show where the money goes
Six reports: Vehicle Tyre Report, Tyre Life, Brand and Supplier Performance, Tyre Spend, the full Tyre Database, and a Wear Warning Snapshot. Brand and supplier performance compares average cost and wear rate per 1,000 km, so buying decisions are based on what actually lasted.
Common questions
Can we use our own tyre numbers?
Yes. Tyres carry your own house number, such as GRL0012, or a four-letter brand code with four digits.
What does the wear projection use?
The change in tread depth between readings against the kilometres travelled, projected forward to your minimum tread depth.
What happens to a tyre that can't be found?
The survey marks it Missing and keeps its cost on the Missing Tyres list. If it turns up it goes back to stores, and only the administrator can write it off.
Can tyre users be kept out of the rest of the system?
Yes. A tyres-only login sees the tyre module and nothing else.
Can a truck be despatched on worn tyres?
No. A trip can't be opened while a fitted tyre's latest reading is below the despatch minimum. There's no override: the tyre has to be re-measured or replaced first.
